Services and Responsibilities:

The Auditor has two main areas of responsibility: services to the general public, and services to other County entities.

Services to the general public include:

  • Transfer of deeds
  • Managing delinquent tax parcels
  • Plat books
  • Maintaining special assessment records
  • Maintaining voter registration records
  • Election administration
  • Licensing of auctioneers, transient merchants, and liquor establishments

Services to other County entities include:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparation of tax statements
  • Tax settlements to other local units of government
